Beware of Leg Pain Due to Thrombosis or Blood Clot 

When it comes to leg pain we often take it to the proclaimed exhaustion, nerve damage or similar reasons but it could turn into blood clot that is fatal and dangerous. According to a research, this blood clot when travels through the body and bocks the passage of blood in any organ claims more life's than that of road accidents every year. This seems shocking but the condition is not developed recently, it was preexistent and was ignored by most of the population. Blood clot in legs is often termed as deep vein thrombosis leg pain or deep vein thrombosis where it kills the person by migrating to several vital organs in body. This condition is often seen present in many people but they seem to ignore or behave reluctantly towards the persistent leg pain. As your leg pain could be thrombosis you need to pay attention on the symptom and remain aware about the condition. Diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis leg pain is often difficult because apart form the pain it doesn't cause any peculiar symptom to denote its presence in body. The risk here is the travel of particular blood clot to other vital organs most probably lung or heart which could result in death. There are some symptoms that are listed for this thrombosis but many times the person remains asymptomatic to produce difficulty in timely diagnosis. The proper diagnosis could be made with presence of peculiar symptoms.

Symptoms

To escape from this deadly condition one needs to have full understanding of symptoms that mainly surround the leg and chest pain area. In the terms of leg pain, the pain would be felt in the calf muscles along with slight pain in front side of thighs. A sure shot symptom of deep vein thrombosis is the swelling on the leg particularly in calf or thigh muscles. The presence of pain in upper right abdomen swelling in leg which is accompanied by pain is a symptom of blood clot or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is often misleading because several patients with DVT don't produce any swelling on the leg at all.

Prevention

If you acquaint yourself with factors and elements that affect the production of blood clot or DVT in legs then you can prevent yourself form the fatal condition. In order to beware of the condition you need to look for family history and some routine elements.

DVT history- if you have developed DVT in past even in childhood then this makes you susceptible to get it again. Therefore a keen watch on symptoms is necessary.

Hereditary blood disease- if your heredity consists of any disease or condition related to blood or its constituents then you are at risk of DVT.

Leg injury- if you have undergone a serious leg injury that is not healed in time then watch out for formation of blood clot.

There are several other factors such as poorly managed heart failure or a type of cancer that make the higher possibility of deep vein thrombosis leg pain. Careful watch on symptoms is the key for early cure.
